# How do I create a subdomain website for an agent in Brivity?

## Give each agent their own website link for marketing and lead generation, with leads routed straight to them.

Every agent on your team can have their own subdomain (a personal link to your team website) to use in marketing and lead generation. This article explains how agent subdomains work and how to set one up in Brivity.

### How Agent Subdomains Work

- An agent subdomain is a mirror of your team's primary website, personalized for one agent. It shows that agent's photo and contact info.
- Every lead that comes in through an agent's subdomain routes directly to that agent.
- Agents can share their subdomain in their own marketing, or use it to collect leads from a Brivity Open House Registration Form.
- Your **CRM is the source of truth.** Changes made in the CRM on the User Profile or IDX Configuration pages update your website automatically, including each agent's bio.

### Before You Begin

- **Your primary website must be published first.** Admins can only create agent subdomains after the team website is live on your custom URL.
- **Using Wix for your domain?** Wix doesn't create subdomains automatically. Create the agent's subdomain in your Wix DNS settings first, then add it in Brivity's IDX Configuration. Brivity can't connect a subdomain that doesn't exist at the DNS level.

### Set Up an Agent Subdomain

#### Step 1: Open IDX Configuration

Subdomains are set up in the [Brivity CRM](https://www.brivity.com/), not the Web Builder. In your CRM, hover over the left-side navigation menu, click **Settings**, then click **IDX Configuration**.

#### Step 2: Enter the Agent's Info

- Choose the agent from the **Select Teammate** drop-down menu.
- Under **Agent Website**, type the agent's first name in **lowercase letters only**.

#### Step 3: Add the Agent's Bio

A bio is required to finish setup. If the agent doesn't have one ready, you can enter "Coming Soon" for now and update it later.

#### Step 4: Save

Click **SAVE CHANGES**. The agent's site will be available at **firstname.yourwebsite.com**, ready to share and start attracting leads.

### Troubleshooting

- The new site can take **up to 20 minutes** to start working.
- If the subdomain or bio still isn't working or updating after 20 minutes, contact Brivity Support at **(855) 427-4848** or through live chat in your CRM.
