# How do I onboard a new agent on my team?
## To seamlessly onboard a new agent with PLACE, follow these critical steps to ensure immediate productivity and integration into your team's business operations.
**How to Onboard a New Agent to PLACE**: Follow the steps below to add an agent to your team, set up their access, and enroll them in PLACE training programs. Complete each step in order — some steps must be finished before the next step's access becomes available.
1. Begin by [requesting a contract](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeuDtDAtytZsnLGiNrwg50OP7FHs4u7sRTJ9nUdbhAf3nHzyQ/viewform)
2. Create and activate a team email to support secure communications. Choose one of the following options:
- [Add a team-managed email in Google Workspace](https://www.loom.com/share/c89392a8da56488eb7042508abf32659?sid=afbbaa3b-6f3a-448c-a147-78a91e209619) (if you manage your own domain)
- [Request an email](https://www.placehelpdesk.com/support/catalog/items/50) if your domain is managed by PLACE
3. Add the agent to Brivity
1. **Invite the Agent to Brivity:** In your Brivity account, navigate to **Settings \> Team Members** and add the agent using their **team email address**. Leave **Hide from roster** unchecked, set their **Brivity login email** to the same team email address, and select **Yes, invite this user to log in**.
Once the agent accepts the invitation and activates their Brivity account, their login credentials will grant them access to **Our PLACE, PLACE Academy, and onboarding services**.
4. **Apply the correct onboarding auto plan** to their Brivity contact record:

2. [Experienced Agent Onboarding Autoplan](https://our.place.com/spaces/23/operations/articles/onboarding-offboarding-auto-plans/8389/experienced-agent-onboarding-1-4-auto-plan)- for experienced agents
Add the person responsible for onboarding, usually the Operations Leader, as the agent’s **Onboarding Lead** in their Brivity profile. The auto plan assigns onboarding tasks and communications to that role.
3. **Pause, refresh, and restart the auto plan** after assigning the Onboarding Lead so the tasks route correctly. Then work through the tasks in the plan.
4. **Set up auto plans before the agent's launch start date:** Add the appropriate **New Agent or Experienced Agent Onboarding Auto Plan**, even if the agent's launch start date hasn't been confirmed. Once known, enter the **Launch Start Date** and **First Day on Team** in the agent's Brivity profile.
**Important:** Do not wait until after the agent's launch start date to apply the auto plans. Adding them after that date has passed can cause onboarding tasks to be scheduled incorrectly, sometimes as far as a year out.
5. **What does PLACE automatically set up after the agent is added to Brivity?**
Once you add the agent to Brivity, PLACE will automatically:
- Share access to:
- Your Team Toolkit
- PLACE Academy
- Our PLACE intranet
- Initiate setup for CMA (Comparative Market Analysis) tools
- Enroll the agent in both Agent Onboarding and Brivity Foundations programs
- Provide a complimentary Growth Day trial for coaching and professional development (note: trial duration is subject to change)
- Add them to the email distribution list
- Add the Revenue Share Partner in Brivity
After PLACE completes the automated steps above, manually [register the agent for the official PLACE launch](https://our.place.com) to complete the process.
